And we're back to our regularly scheduled Netflix Instant column. I have a couple of gems for you this week. One film I loved when I watched it in college, and two I've been excited about since last year and are finally streaming to watch!
Check them out after the break
I remember seeing this in my film and politics class in college, and I couldn't stop laughing. It's a funny look at politics and the media and how politicians can be on the fall one day and completely rise up and be a media darling the next. Plus, Warren Beatty raps.
This was a film I was very interested in seeing, and I'm glad it's now on Netflix. It's a behind the scenes look at the New York City Ballet, and choreographer Justin Peck, who's only 25, but has been commissioned to create the company's 422nd original ballet. A daunting task for anyone, but any documentary about dance is one I'll check out.
My cohort raved about this film when it came out, and it was one I was said to miss last year. I've nothing but great things about the story and Jake Gyllenhaal's performance. I'm definitely excited to finally check this film out.
