In honor of the weekend, I wanted to highlight some movies on Netflix that deal with death or near death experiences and the way that it changes you one is somehow resurrected. Some are a bit of a stretch but they're still fun as hell to watch. Check them out after the break.
This critically acclaimed horror movie is a creepy allegory of how far people are willing to achieve their Hollywood dreams. I won't spoil necessarily how this ties in to the theme, suffice to say our heroine goes through some disturbing changes in her quest for fame. It also has a bitchin' soundtrack.
The classic George A. Romero zombie movie is one of the finest independent horror movies of all time and one of the most influential. Being one of the first movies to depict grizzly murders, it deals iwth a fmily as they try to survive a zombie attack on their farmhouse.
This one is a bit of a stretch since the titular cop that eventually turns into a wolf cop did not die but rather is badly injured. I mostly wanted it in here because it's badass movie. It's also got one of the better werewolf transformations in recent memory. You can find my review here.
