This week we have a nice mix of movies from the super violent to the super nerdy. Check them out after the break!
COMPUTER CHESS
Being the basis of many a cautionary tale in movies, AI is something that is quickly becoming very real in our world and is both a fascinating and terrifying concept. COMPUTER CHESS is set over a weekend while programmers are trying to teach a computer chess in order to showcase its power. I haven't seen it all the way through, but I like what I see so far and many of my well-versed movie pals on the Twittersphere have highly recommended it.

MANIAC
This was a movie I'd been dying to see for a while despite mixed reviews. It's a POV remake of the original 1980's movie. I loved the original and I wanted to see what Elijah Wood would do in this role. While the director doesn't strictly adhere to the POV gimmick, it does provide for some very beautiful and terrifying shots. What makes me recommend this movie is the last 20 minutes of the movie when it gets completely terrifying and has some of the most gruesome imagery I've seen in a while.

WAKE IN FRIGHT
This is one of the Drafthouse Films releases that recently came unto Netflix. It's the story of a man in the Australian outback terrorized by a group of small-town drunks. It's legendary due to it's "lost" status, and now it's easily available! I hear it's a very hard movie to watch so be prepared.
That's it for me, folks! Jonesy will return next week with another set of recommendations for y'all.
