They're back. The kids, well not so much kids anymore, from Matthew Vaughn's ultra-violent and ultra-awesome film, KICK-ASS, are back for the sequel, KICK-ASS AGAIN! Just kidding, that's not really the title.

After Kick-Ass' (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.Thanks to MTV for the trailer.
Is it me, or is Jim Carrey completely unrecognizable? Even though I knew he was in the film, it still didn't click until his name flashed onto the screen. I'm glad all three "super-heroes" are back, but honestly, a little bit of the "umph" and shock is gone now that they've grown up. Let's face it, part of the intrigue of the first film was to see Chloe Grace Moretz yell profanities at age 11. Hopefully this film can bring its own stamp on the series.
KICK-ASS 2 will be released August 16, 2013, is directed by Jeff Wadlow, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Jim Carrey.
