Michael Bay is anything but subtle. This PAIN & GAIN trailer definitely shows us this and this is supposed to be his "indie" movie. Anyway, the movie deals with body building bros being bros and watching too many Coen Bros. movies. Just like with a Coen Bros. movie, everything goes wrong when the trio of bodybuilding bros kidnaps and robs a crime lord. Check out Mark Wahlberg looking wayyyyyyy too buff for his own good in the trailer below which comes via IGN.
Yeah, the movie looks big and dumb. To be perfectly honest, it looks boring because the trailer appears to have given away every major plot point of the movie. At the same time, I find Michael Bay fascinating like I do with guys that wear super tight shirts and take up all of the weights at the gym so I'm curious to see what the deal is. Is anyone at all interested in this? If so I'm curious to hear why.
PAIN & GAIN is directed by Michael Bay. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, that black guy that is suspiciously not in any of the marketing even though he seems to be a main character (Anthony Mackie), Ed Harris and Robb Coddry. It comes out April 26th, 2013.
