I remember a couple summers ago when the first EXPENDABLES and THE 'A' TEAM came out in the same summer. I felt like I had to eat some red meat and get into a bar fight to even be allowed in the movie. However, those seem pretty tame (in retrospect) to what will be released at the end of this summer.
Apparently most the boys, plus a few more, are back for THE EXPENDABLES 2. Check the trailer after the jump.
Now I love a good action movie, but I'm not a huge fan of mindless action, and this appears to be the latter. And it seems they've thrown in Chuck Norris and Schwarzenegger just to put the cherry a top this wannabe Bay-splosion of a movie. Just from the trailer, it already feels over saturated with action stars, and just set piece after set piece of blowing crap up. I know there's an audience out there for this film...somewhere. At least we'll probably get a couple new Schwarzenegger quotes to add to "It's not a tumarh," and "Get to da choppa!"
THE EXPENDABLES 2 will be released August 17, 2012 starring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Liam Hemsworth, Bruce Willis, Van Damme, Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
