So apart from being super busy, and not wanting to be complete hit-whores, we haven't been posting too much about director Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES until the really juicy stuff comes up. And this weekend's reveal is relatively juicy. For the past few months we have been getting lots sneaky set pictures of Batman, Bane, and Catwoman, but this weekend after a contest held by the magazine, Empire revealed the first looks at Bane and Batman. They will appear in next month's issue. Check out the slightly larger pictures after the jump.
Christian Bale's Batman looks like Batman wielding some light weapon that will probably be speculated upon until the release of the movie. The big reveal is that of Tom Hardy as Bane, and his awesome mask as well as the ugly surprise of his nasty acne. This sure gives a lot more weight to the fact that Bane is basically a genius who is also a steroid user. Acne is one of the many symptoms of steroid use along with other less savory side effects. What I wonder is will this be the comic's Bane, who is both the intellectual and physical match for Batman, or will he be the moronic Mexican luchador-wannabe from BATMAN AND ROBIN?
